Flight

Dragon in the field,
moment before
powerful motion
sets him aflight,
moment of
wild equilibrium
then soaring,
flying high
in the firmament.

Little bird
emerging
from high built
nest, faltering,
flapping, then
oh, soaring,
flying through
the leafy air,
all the way
to the next
branch.
