Mandala

Photobucket

At the beginning

I saw I had stumbled into
an inconceivably
beautiful garden,
and was received
by a holy master
who was already
in conversation with
another holy master.

And I knew
I was only in the
outlying garden,
on the perimeter,
that their laughter,
so precious and good-natured,
at the same time
spelled the journey
over obstacles
unimaginable.

Now I find myself on occasion,
consciously imagining the scene,
memory of beginnings,
memory of vast gifts
continually bringing light
to darkest corners
of samsara.

Beautiful! What a wonderful piece of poetry... the mandala does it much justice.
